Master Peter Carbone, 5th Dan, HEAD INSTRUCTOR
Master Carbone is the Head Instructor at the Tae E. Lee Barrhaven Taekwondo School.
He currently holds the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt, and has been training with Grandmaster Lee for over 20 years.
Master David Silverman, MSc., 5th Dan
Master David Silverman is the Executive Director of the Tae E. Lee Taekwondo School, and oversees Tae E. Lee Community Taekwondo programs.
Master Silverman is a driving force in the promotion of Taekwondo within Canada and within the community.
He currently holds the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt, and has many accomplishments, including:

Master David Silverman has been training directly under Grandmaster Lee for over 30 years, and continues to do so on a daily basis.
Grandmaster Tae E. Lee, BA,MA,9th Dan
Grand Master Lee, a native of South Korea, currently holds the rank of 9th degree black belt. He is also the only Korean Grand Master and internationally certified World Taekwondo Federation Grand Master in Ottawa.
In November, 2009, Grandmaster Tae E. Lee was appointed as Treasurer of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) by its President, Dr. Chungwon Choue. As such, Grandmaster Lee is a member of both the WTF Council and WTF Executive Committee. Not only is Grandmaster Lee the only Canadian on the WTF Council, this is the first time ever a Canadian has held such a high and prestigious post at the WTF.
Grand Master Lee opened the city’s first Taekwondo school in 1977, and since then, has been a leader in successfully promoting Taekwondo in Canada. In Korea, Taekwondo is revered as both a powerful martial art and as a philosophical discipline.
The Philosophy
Grandmaster Lee developed the Moo Kwang philosophy, reflecting his belief that Taekwondo can unite the mind, body, and spirit. The philosophy of Moo Kwang Taekwondo begins with the name of the martial art itself. The interpretation of the words are:
Moo is non-stop and eternal. Kwang is brightness.
